well i love this time of the year where you bake all the ginger bread recipes you want this one don't last long around the house at all

Ingredients

4 c
diced sweet potatoes
1 c
minced pears (about 1 medium)
1/4 c
minced dried cranberries
2 to 4 Tbsp
brown sugar or agave nectar, to taste
1/2 tsp
dried ginger
1/8 tsp
cinnamon
1/8 tsp
allspice, ground
1/8 tsp
nutmeg
1 pinch
cloves
1 pinch
salt
1/2 c
minced gingerbread cookies, optional

Step-By-Step

1Put the sweet potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water.
2Bring to a boil, then lower to medium high heat and cook until easily mashed with a fork. Drain in a colander.
3Put the potatoes in a bowl and mash, adding a tablespoon or 2 of water if needed.
4Mix in the pears, cranberries, spices and salt. Sprinkle each serving with gingerbread cookie crumbs.
