Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This is a really creamy and delicious casserole. It's perfect when you have overnight guests and want to serve them a great breakfast. The tater tots really do lose their shape and look like a casserole. These are tasty!


1 lb
frozen tater tots
onion chopped
1 c
cheddar cheese shredded
1 c
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1 jar(s)
Ragu cheddar cheese sauce
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

In crock pot, put a layer of tater tots and onions and top with cheese. Make three or 4 layers depending on size of your crock pot, ending with cheese on top.
In a bowl, combine milk, seasonings, soup and cheese sauce. Mix until well blended and pour over taters in crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. The tater tots will lose their shape as they cook and it is more of a hash brown casserole.
