Crispy Garlicky Oven Fries Baked

- garlic cloves, minced
- 6 Tbsp
- vegetable oil
- russet potatoes (about 8 ounces each) scrubbed and cut into even wedges. ( i get 8 wedges from each potato)
- 2 Tbsp
- 1 1/2 tsp
- 3/4 tsp
- 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder
1Adjust oven rack to lowest position and heat oven to 475 degrees.
Combine minced garlic and oil in a large bowl and microwave until garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
Transfer 5 tablespoons of oil (leaving the minced garlic in the bowl) to rimmed baking sheet, turning to coat the bottom of the sheet.
2Add potatoes to bowl with remaining oil and minced garlic. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and microwave on high power until potatoes are translucent around edges, 3-6 minutes,shaking bowl halfway through cooking.
3Combine cornstarch,salt,pepper and garlic powder in small bowl. Sprinkle over hot potatoes and toss well to coat.
Arrange potatoes in single layer on prepared sheet and bake, turning once half way through baking,until deep golden brown and crisp, about 30-40 minutes.
