My family rants and raves over my mashed potatos. Not a hard recipe - just adding the right amount of seasoning is the key.

Ingredients For cheryl's famous mashed potatos

  • 6 -8
    washed potatos unpeeled
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp
    creole seasoning
  • to taste
    salt and pepper
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp
    sour cream
  • 1 stick
    butter

How To Make cheryl's famous mashed potatos

  • 1
    Cut up potatos and cover with water (not too much water - the idea is to let the water boil down to savor the taste of the spices) add creole seasoning, salt and pepper to taste while potatos are boiling. Once potatos are done - (with very little water left - so you do not have to drain) - add stick of butter, mash then add sour cream and stir.-----The creole seasoning give the potatos a kick and they will be a hit at dinner.
