cheesy barbecue fries

You can substitute any ground meat or even make it vegetarian with TVP. We eat this as a main dish but as a side you can obviously expect it to serve more. Be very careful to use salt free seasoning or with the barbecue sauce and cheese this becomes a salt bomb, and not in a good way!

Ingredients For cheesy barbecue fries

  • 4 md
    potatoes
  • 4 tsp
    salt free cajun seasoning
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    barbecue sauce
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make cheesy barbecue fries

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Oil baking sheet or use a silicone mat.

    Cut each potato into 8 wedges. Arrange on tray. Sprinkle on seasoning. Bake 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

    Brown ground beef and drain fat. Stir in barbecue sauce. Cook until bubbly, about 5 minutes.

    Pour meat sauce over wedges and top with cheese. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
