Ingredients For beer brat casserole

  • 10
    beer bratwurst sausage links
  • 6 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 lg
    onion, diced
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 md
    red potatoes, diced
  • 1 - 24 oz. can
    pork & beans, undrained
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    basil, dried
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 can
    beer, your favorite (regular or non alcoholic)
  • 2 tsp
    tabasco or your favorite hot sauce
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • SERVE WITH YOUR CHOICE:
  • 1 lb
    pasta of choice
  • 2 c
    rice, white or brown

How To Make beer brat casserole

    Cut bratwrust into 1/4" pieces. Fry with oil & garlic in large sauce pan.

    When meat is almost done add onions, green peppers, potatoes & pork & beans. Cook at strong simmer for about 15 minutes.

    Add cumin, basil, salt, pepper & hot sauce. Lightly simmer for about 10 minutes.

    Add beer, bring to a hard simmer, then lower heat to a simmer. Cover the pan & cook for another 10 minutes.

    It is your choice to use pasta or rice. Cook as per directions on package. Spoon pasta in soup bowl then cover with Bratwrust Delight.
