Ingredients
- CREAMY DIP:
- 1/4 cup sour cream, fat-free
- 1/3 cup honey mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- HUSH PUPPIES:
- 1 - 8 oz boxes corn bread mix
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 x large egg
- 1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoes
- 6 slices bacon cooked crisp & crumbled
- vegetable oil
How To Make bacon & sweet potato hush puppies w/ creamy dip

Step 1DIP: Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl; mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 2HUSH PUPPIES: Preheat deep fryer with oil to 350 degrees F.

Step 3In a large bowl, combine corn bread mix, cornmeal, onion, egg, sweet potatoes & bacon; mix well. Using a small ice cream/cookie scooper, drop batter into hot oil, about 4 at a time, until golden brown, about 3 - 4 minutes. Remove & drain on paper towels. Repeat with all batter.
