Ingredients

md onion, diced more or less as taste requires.
1 - 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
any kind of noodles will do.
shredded swiss cheese

Denise's Notes:

My mom (who is from Germany) used to make this when I was a kid. Everyone loves it to this day :-)

 

Directions

Cook noodles per package instructions.
Drain and put in baking dish.

While noodles are cooking, dice onion and cook in butter til brown.
Pour onions (with the butter) over noodles and mix lightly.

Cover with the swiss cheese.

You can also sprinkle parsley, or for those of you who like spicy foods, red pepper flakes.

Bake at 350 for until cheese is melted and just starting to turn brown.

I love Baby Swiss....have tried all kinds of cheeses in my homemade mac`n cheese but Swiss is one I have not tried "alonde".
I will give this a try one of these days. Thank you for sharing.

This sounds really good. I lived in Germany for a short while, and it was an awesome place with great food! This sounds like it could be a wonderful comfort food for me!

Along with being a good comfort food, it is also not too expensive to make, and it is quick and easy :-)
