Ingredients For sweetened sauerkraut

  • 4 slice
    bacon, cooked
  • 1 md
    onion
  • 4 c
    sauerkraut
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (8 ounce size)

How To Make sweetened sauerkraut

  • 1
    Cook bacon and crumble.Add onions to the bacon grease and cook till tender.Drain bacon grease and add the sauerkraut,tomato sauce and brown sugar to the bacon and onion.Simmer for 45-60 minutes stirring occasionally.
