Patsy's Homemade Flour Tortillas
- 2 c flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t. baking powder
- 1/4 c shortening,margarine or butter
- 1/2 c warm water
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. I use a griddle Use a well-floured rolling pin to roll a dough ball into a thin, round tortilla. Place into the hot skillet, and cook until bubbly and golden; turn over and cook until on the other side. Place the cooked tortilla in a tortilla warmer or cover n dish towel; continue rolling and cooking the remaining dough.
