My Grilled Cheese with Apples and Bacon

- 2 Tbsp
- 8 slice
- whole-grain bread
- 1 Tbsp
- dijon mustard
- 6 oz
- shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- strips of cooked bacon in your microwave (can pan fry if you wish)
- granny smith apple, cored and sliced
1Heat the butter in a large skillet or nonstick pan over low heat.
2Take four slices of bread and spread with mustard.
3Then divide the cheese, sliced apple, and bacon among them. (I cooked my bacon crisp in my microwave oven)
4Top with the other bread slices and add to hot pan.
5Cook these sandwiches slowly about 10 to 12 minutes until each side in deep brown and crunchy
6* I'm thinking that maybe next time I'll add swiss cheese slices and caramelized onions. Maybe would taste like French onion soup on bread.
