This comes from a 1968 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. It is the first recipe I ever used for baked beans and I have never replaced it with another. When I take it to a potluck or family reunion, I always take home an empty dish. My son adds BBQ sauce to his.

4 slicebacon

2 Tbspbacon drippings

1/2 cchopped onions

2 canpork and beans in tomato sauce

2 Tbspbrown sugar

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1 tspprepared mustard
How To Make easy baked beans

1Cook 4 slices bacon till crisp; drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. Crumble bacon.

2Cook 1/2 cup chopped onion in drippings till tender;

3Add onions and bacon to pork and beans in tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and prepared mustard; mix well.

4Bake uncovered in 1 1/2 quart casserole at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours
