Cornbread Dressing

My first turkey came with feathers and all. Thankful next year the bird was dressed and ready to be cooked. Date 1954.

Ingredients

1
2 cup recipe of baked cornbread
1 large
onion, chopped
1
stalk celery, chopped about 2 cups
chicken or turkey broth as needed
1 Tbsp
sage or poltery seasoning, adjust to taste
salt and pepper to taste

OPTIONAL

1 lb
cooked sausage or
1 can(s)
oysters or fresh oysters

Step-By-Step

1Bake cornbread the day before and crumble.
2Add to cornbread onions and celery.
3Add a cup at a time broth until wet enough for your taste.
4Add seasonings and taste to adjust.
5Place in greased pan and bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes or until brown.
