1Place pitted cherries in a crock.
Cover with vinegar and allow to stand 24 hours or longer.
2Drain vinegar (save it for salads)
Measure cherries in a measuring cup...press down for good measure.
3Add equal amount of sugar to the cherries. Keep them in a crock. Stir once a day until sugar is dissolved.
4When sugar is dissolved they can be put into jars and refrigerated and kept indefinitely.
