Cranapple Relish

I make this every year during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays and my whole family loves it. We usually eat it over our turkey but enjoy it just as much by itself.

Ingredients

1 medium
orange
2 large
apples, pared,cored and sliced
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 large
bag (12 0z) cranberries
3/4 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
brandy or brandy flavoring
dash
salt
orange slices for garnish

Directions Step-By-Step

cut orange in half and squeeze juice from one half. Cut remaining half of orange into small pieces removing the seeds. Pare and core apples and then cut into slices and toss with the lemon juice. In food processor place half of the oranges, apples, and cranberries and chop until coarse. Remove to bowl. Process remaining half and remove to bowl. Stir in orange juice, sugar, brandy and salt. Refrigerate until serving time. Garnish with orange slices. Makes about 6 cups.
