I've never had chutney before but I think that this along with some of the others I'm gonna post would go great with anything you might make.
chopped and peeled apples
pitted chopped dates
crushed red pepper
2 1/4 c
packed brown sugar
1Combine all the ingredients in a large stainless steel saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered until thickened, about 3 hours. Stir occasionally/
2Pour into clean jars to within 1/2 inch of the top. Cap and process in a hot water bath for 5 minutes.
