This mouth-watering relish is a must have when eating hamburgers or hot dogs.
Also a very good way to use up all those green tomates in the garden.

Ingredients

3 c
ground onions
4 c
ground green tomatoes

ground sweet red peppers

ground green cabbage

canning salt
1 Tbsp
celery seed
1 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder
4 c
cider vinegar
6 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
mustard seed

water

Directions Step-By-Step

Using a food processor (course blade), grind up all the vegetables. In a large mixing bowl, combine and mix all the vegetables. Sprinkle with the canning salt, cover, and let stand overnight.

Drain and rinse vegetables. place in a large pot.

Meanwhile, in another large sauce pan, combine all other ingredients and bring to boil.

Pour hot liquid over vegetables, mix gently.

Heat to boiling point and simmer 5 minutes.

Ladle into sterlized jars.

Hot water bath (10 minutes)
