Crock Pot Apple Butter

- apples cut up to fill 3 1/2 quart crockpot
- 1 c
- brown sugar
- 1 c
- apple cider
- lemon, juiced
- 1 Tbsp
1Cut blemishes off apples and cut into chunks to fill 3 1/2 quart crockpot.
2Add sugar, cider and lemon juice.
3Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Stir.
4Add cinnamon and cook another 10 hours.
5Stir occasionally until brown.
6Run through food mill or any strainer to strain out seeds and skins.
7To thicken, if not thick enough, return to slow cooker and cook on high uncovered until desired consistency.
