1Use equal quantities of onions, green tomatoes and apples. For the salt use 1 TBS to 3 lbs of the mixture.
2Arrange slices of onions, green tomatoes and apples in alternate layers in a earthen ware vessel, sprinkling salt liberally between layers. Allow to stand overnight, then drain.
