I came up with this recipe when I was give the dove from the hunt because my mother was tired of them being in the freezer.

Ingredients

dove
butter
garlic salt
1 small
onion, sliced in rounds
water
4 Tbsp
vinegar
6 Tbsp
barbecue sauce

Step-By-Step

1Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Tear pieces of foil for every 2 dove. Place 2 dove in center of foil. Put a butter pat on top of each dove and sprinkle with garlic salt. Place an onion round on each dove.

2Seal the dove in tight little packages. Place the packages on a rack in a pan. Fill the bottom of the pan with 1 inch of water mixed with vinegar and barbecue sauce.

3Cover and seal the whole pan with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
