Blackberry Balsamic Reduction

I learned to make my own balsamic reduction last year while taking a cooking class; and this last fall while picking blackberries I thought blackberry balsamic reduction sounded good' so this is my reduction.

Serve on fish, chicken, duck...it is particularly good on ice cream.

Ingredients

1 c
pomain balsamic vinegar
1 c
water
1 c
granulated sugar
2 c
blackberries

Directions Step-By-Step

Simmer all ingredients about 1/2 hr. then strain through cheesecloth; return to stovetop and cook til Nappe.(In cooking, nappe refers to either the ability of a liquid to "coat the back of a spoon" or the act of coating a food)
