Ingredients

1/3 c
vegetable oil

onions, chopped

cloves of garlic, chopped

tbsp.flour
2 c
reduced-sodium chocken broth
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

In large pan, heat 1/3 cup of oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. of pepper and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and browned, about 35 min. Add the flour; cook, stirring constantly, for 2 min. Add 1/2 a cup of broth and cook, stirring, until thickened. Add the remaining 1 1/2 cup broth and bring to a boil. lower heat and simmer 5 min.
