faye's salsa

Recipe by

Faye is my daughter in law of 28 years. She has made this salsa since she was in high school, but I just talked her out of the recipe at my granddaughter's wedding on March 15....(think she was so involved she forgot it was her "secret recipe". This is a smooth salsa, so if you like chunky this is not for you. You can make it as hot as you like. Hope you try and enjoy. This recipe makes 2 quarts and is very easy to cut in half.

  • 1
"glug" of jalapeno juice (more if you want heat)

crushed garlic (again more for your taste)

How To Make faye's salsa

  • 1
I can only make 1/2 recipe in my blender, but if you have a large one make it all together.

Add all ingredients in blender and blend until salsa is smooth. It gets thicker as it cools and hotter the longer it is kept. Serve with good tortilla chips. This is not a "plug" but the best stewed tomatoes I have found for this is the Wal Mart brand, but make sure it's not Italian. They are usually right next to each other on the shelf.
