Deneece's Notes:

I found the crisp recipe online

busycooks.about.com/od/dess...

but changed the toppings a bit and decided they would be really yummy with some fruit salsa. I like the following fruits and ingredients but fruit salsa can be made with your favorite fruits. This is so lite and so refreshing on a hot summer day!

Directions

1
Fruit Salsa: Toss together strawberries, mango, kiwi, and pineapple. Add sugar enough to just cover fruit and make a nice syrup when it dissolves. Add a few squeezes of lime juice.
2
Now gently toss in the blueberries and black raspberries. And put in frig to chill.
3
Preheat oven to 375
4
Crisps: Slice wonton wrappers in half diagonally. Then toss in bowl with oil and be sure to seperate them and make sure all are coated,
5
Spray a baking sheet with non stick spray and put the wontons on it. Place in oven and bake about ten minutes or until crisp and golden.
6
Dust with your favorite topping and serve with fruit salsa if desired. (Before serving fruit salsa sprinkle the coconut over the top of it)

it is dee! i make it for all our bbqs and such my son loves it. you can also make the crisps with flour tortillas. you just slice them toss em in the oil and follow the rest of the directions the same. I am a huge fruit fan so I make the salsa from all sorts of fruit but these are my favs cause it has a bit of a tropical flavor with the mango pineapple lime and coconut

I love tropical flavors..specially pineapple. We love pico de gallo in my house. i used to make it but our local mexican Mkt makes it great and about the same price as to make it. I make flour or whl wht tortilla chips sometimes. but usually deep fry em..thats why i don't make em often. : ) I see u baked these..do they turn out crispy?

yes they do! I also bake the tortilla chips. I try not to fry often. My husband passed away from a heart attack. His first was at 30 and I learned to bake instead of frying so I make alot in the oven.

I'm so sorry to hear that. How old was he when he passed? BTW, u look very young compared to alot of us around here. : D
I uaually bake things too instead of fry...for tacos, I just steam the tortillas in the microwave ot heat em on a griddle without oil. I will try chips like this now and see if they fly.
