This is another recipe we have for Bread and Butter Pickles that my cousins use. It differs a little from the recipe that my grandmother used.

Ingredients

CUCUMBER INGREDIENTS

4 qt
sliced cucumbers
6 medium
onions, sliced
3 clove
garlic, finely chopped
1
green pepper, sliced thin
1/3 c
salt

LIQUID INGREDIENTS

3 c
apple cider vinegar
2 c
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
turmeric
1 1/2 tsp
mustard seed

Step-By-Step

1Slice up all your cucumber ingredients
Put cucumbers, onions, peppers, garlic and salt in a large pot.
Cover with water and let stand 4 hours.

2Drain and rinse the cucumber mixture.
Place in large pot.
Add vinegar, sugar, turmeric and mustard seed.
Bring to a boil and pack in hot sterile mason jars.
