HAVE MADE THIS FOR YEARS. MY FAMILY LOVES IT AND TASTES SO MUCH BETTER THAN STORE SYRUP. THE BEST PART IS YOU CAN ADD ANY TYPE OF EXTRACT (EX: VANILLA, BANANA, PECAN)TO GIVE IT YOUR OWN TOUCH.

Ingredients

1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c
water
1/4 tsp
vanilla extract (optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS INTO A SAUCE PAN. BRING TO A BOIL, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. WHEN AT A FULL BOIL LOWER TEMPERATURE TO LOW. COOK 15-20 MINS STIRRING SO NOT TO STICK TO BOTTOM, TILL IT IS AT THE THICKNESS YOU WISH.
