North Carolina BBQ Sauce

In Texas, we typically see the tomato based sausce with a peppery background. With the proliferation of regional food and traditions, I decided to give this one a shot. As a result, I typically serve BBQ two ways.

Strangely, each time I use this sauce, I loose the urge to use fowl language. Guess mom's technique of washing my mouth with vinegar worked.

pinch tips: How to Cut Avocado (Like a Pro)


yields about 2 1/2 cups

Stove Top


2 c
cider vinegar
1/4 c
1 Tbsp
hot sauce
1 Tbsp
red pepper flakes
2 tsp
liquid smoke
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce

Directions Step-By-Step

Bring all ingredients to boil over medium heat whisking until combined.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Use as a baste or sauce on ribs, pulled pord, or brisket. The world is your playground.
