sugar
6 Tbsp
butter
1/2 c
heavy whipping cream

Directions Step-By-Step

FIRST POUR THE SUGAR IN A SMALL POT OVER LOW HEAT. AS THE SUGAR BEGINS TO MELT, STIR CONSTANTLY WITH A WHISK.

ONCE THE SUGAR HAS MELTED, YOU WILL HAVE LIQUID SUGAR. THEN ADD BUTTER TO MELTED SUGAR AND WHISK BUTTER UNTIL IT HAS MELTED.

ONCE THE BUTTER HAS MELTED TAKE THE POT OFF THE HEAT, SLOWLY POUR IN THE CREAM, AND WHISK AS YOU POUR.

CONTINUE TO WHISK UNTIL CARAMEL SAUCE IS SMOOTH. LET IT COOL IN THE POT FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN USE ON CAKES OR POUR OVER ICE CREAM.
