Mix-n-Match Curry Sauce

Following the basic RECIPE, when you get to SOUP, LIQUID, FRUIT, or GARNISH, select ONE ingredient from each of those headings, and follow the directions accordingly.
You can 'custom make' it each time, according to what you have in your pantry, or whatever your tastebuds are dictating at the moment! :o)

Ingredients

BASIC RECIPE

2 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
chopped onion
2 tsp
curry powder
1 can(s)
soup
1/2 c
liquid
1/2 c
fruit
garnish

SOUP

tomato
cream of celery
cream of chicken
cream of mushroom

LIQUID

chicken broth
apple juice
water
pineapple juice

FRUIT

chopped tomato
chopped apple
chopped pear
drained crushed pineapple

GARNISH

raisins (red or golden)
salted peanuts
cashews
toasted flaked coconut
craisins
sunflower seeds

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter in 2-quart sauce pan over medium heat. Cook onion and curry powder until onion is tender, stirring occasionally.

Stir in SOUP and LIQUID until well-blended. Add FRUIT; heat through, stirring occasionally. Top with GARNISH.

Serve over meat, poultry or rice. Makes about 2 cups.
