I love dill pickles,most store bought tartar sauce is too sweet to my taste,so started making my own a long time ago. These measurements are approximate because I don't measure,I just mix it up and taste.

Ingredients For homemade tartar sauce

1 c mayonaise

2 t. onion,grated

1/2 c dill pickles,minced or dill relish

hot sauce,to taste

black pepper,to taste

1 t. capers,minced

1/2 t. lemon juice
How To Make homemade tartar sauce

1Mix all ingredients,chill at least 30 minutes to blend flavors.
