Accidental Enchilada Sauce

LaVinnia Sullivan Recipe

By LaVinnia Sullivan lavinnia

I needed enchilada sauce for a recipe and discovered the 2 cans I thought I had in the pantry were gone. This works just as well, and in fact, my family likes it better than the prepared stuff.

I, too , need enchilada sauce for tamale pie last night. So glad I found this recipe. So easy and so tasty. I made it according to the instructions, but I love finding recipes for sauces that I can play with and spice up or down to our liking! AWESOME! Definitely a keeper! Probably will never buy regular enchilada sauce again since I usually have everything in my pantry.

I'm in Puerto Rico and stores just don't carry enchilada sauce here. I came across your recipe, and it's great! Thanks for sharing your "accident".
