I save a large spice shaker (McCormick's) and funnel the ingredients into it. Then I shake the stew out of it until it looks combined.
***Paula Deen's original recipe calls for 1/4 c. of the pepper and garlic. I like a little more spice and found I wound up using too much and oversalting, so I adjusted it. This is so convenient for meat, potatoes or just about anything!
