Best Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

This, in my opinion, is as good as any Chinese restaurant teriyaki sauce. I serve it with grilled chicken breast, cut into strips, with mixed Chinese vegetables over rice. Yumm!

Stove Top

Ingredients

1/4 c
soy sauce (i use reduced sodium)
1 c
water
1/2 tsp
ground ginger
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
5 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 Tbsp
honey
2 Tbsp
corn starch
1/4 c
cold water

Directions Step-By-Step

In medium saucepan, mix first 6 ingredients. Heat to boiling and reduce heat to medium-low.

In small bowl, mix corn starch and 1/4 c. cold water. Stir into hot mixture and simmer until thickened.

Remove from heat and cool slightly. Use as you would any teriyaki sauce.
