Spiced Pear Jam

- chopped or coarsly ground peeled pears (about 5 pounds)
- 4 c
- 1 tsp
- 1/8 tsp
- ground cloves
1Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
2Simmer, uncovered for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until think, stirring constantly
3Stir more frequently as mixture thickens.
4Information Preparation for Jams etc…
I use a large roasting pan with jars – bring water to boil, then turn to simmer.
Place lids covered in water in small sauce pan; bring to boil and then turn down to low
Have 2 dish towels – 1 for under items to fill jars and one folded in half to place filled jars upside down
