Ingredients

5 medium
golden delicious apples
5 medium
granny smith apples
1 c
water
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 1/4 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
1/4 tsp
ginger
1/2 tsp
real butter
1 c
firmly packed dark brown sugar
4 c
sugar
2 pkg
ball liquid pectin

Step-By-Step

1Put butter and water and lemon juice is a pot on low warm
2Core slice and peel the apples, and dip in a cup of 1 part lemon juice and 3 parts water, then put into food processor
3add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and Dark brown sugar, and blend until applesauce-like consistancy
4Add to pot, increase heat to medium, add sugar and pectin...bring to a rolling boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat
5Ladle into prepared half pint jars, leave 1/4 head space, add lids and process for10 minutes in water bath canner
Remove jars, let stand for 12 hours
