My grandchildren love a fruit salad, yummy yummy, and this dressing is simply marvelous.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This is the last fruit salad dressing you will ever need. It's versatile and can be used over any type of fruit. Thick and creamy, it has a slight citrus flavor. Super simple to make, simply pour it over fruit salad as you are serving. Enjoy this fruity dressing as a light summertime dessert, or add it to a brunch menu with a variety of fruit.

Ingredients For yummy fruit salad dressing

  • 5 tsp
    all purpose flour
  • 12 oz
    canned pineapple juice
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    orange juice frozen concentrate
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • assorted fresh fruit

How To Make yummy fruit salad dressing

  • All ingredients, except fruit, in a saucepan.

    In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except fruit. (I usually mix the juice and flour first with a whisk, making sure there are no lumps.)
  • Bringing mixture to a boil.

    Bring to a boil and cook.
  • Stirring until smooth.

    Stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Allow the mixture to cool.
  • Yummy Fruit Salad Dressing in a small pitcher.

    Serve over fruit. Any leftover dressing may be refrigerated for up to one week.
