I got this recipe from a dear dear friend Who was loved by all.Her daughter got this recipe from someone who worked at KFC.It is wonderful.Try it soon.

Ingredients

1/3 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
1/2 c
mayonaise
1/4 c
buttermilk
1 1/2 Tbsp
white vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp
lemon juice

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix everything together and add to cole slaw.It is best when it sits overnight in frig.

Annie about your recipe here...do you use fresh cabbage and carrots or do you use the cole slaw mix in a bag and how much of each depending on which you use in size and or weight?..Thanks, Becky

I have this same recipe and it is very good. It's better if you use cabbage (8 cups, finely chopped, and about 1/4 cup of shredded carrot) rather than the packaged coleslaw from the grocery. I've made it both ways and the first way is the best. My recipe also calls for 1/4 cup of milk in addition to the 1/4 cup of buttermilk. It's the best coleslaw. It's the only way I make it since I found this recipe.

Good. Like I said, It has been 26 years since I worked @KFC & that is how we did it then. I made hundreds of lugs of it. I worked @ 3 different ones too. They may have changed it, though.
