I keep a hot and a "Not Too Hot" version of this on hand for use in...well...just about everything.
I love hot and spicy food but NOT when flavor is sacrificed for heat. This recipe is adjustable for heat so flavor is never lost!!
As always adjust to your taste.

5 Tbsp
1 1/2-3 Tbsp
salt, to taste
2 Tbsp
each onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano and dried basil
1 Tbsp
dried thyme
up to 1 Tbsp
each black pepper and cayenne pepper*


1Place all ingredients in an oversized air tight container. I use old clean jelly and pickle jars.
Vigorously shake until well mixed.
Use a tablespoon or two in recipes.

2*I use about a teaspoon of both black and cayenne pepper in my "Not Too Hot" version.
