1/3 c	beef bouillon, powdered
4 tsp	onion powder
1/4 tsp	celery seed, crushed
1/4 tsp	granulated sugar

Roz's Notes:

Since I found this recipe to make my own onion soup mix (ala Lipton's)...I've not purchased a box of Lipton's. Much cheaper to make your own and you have it on hand when a recipe calls for it!

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a small airtight container.

5 tablespoons = 1 packet soup mix (1-1 1/4 oz.)

This looks great and should have less sodium than the prepackaged Lipton.

Kris - there is sodium in the bouillon but I find it's not quite AS salty making my own (and it's CHEAPER)!! :-)

Great idea, Roz! Dip mix has gotten so expensive and I have a problem with the preservatives and "hidden" MSG in a lot of mixes. I'll have to try this. Thanks!
