Mechelle's not so secret anymore Taco Dip

This recipe came together when I needed a dish to pass at a potluck party. To my surprise it was a hit and continues to this day to be one of my most asked for recipes. The beauty of this dish is two things, you can make it as hot or mild as you like and it is made in the microwave in just 1 bowl.

Ingredients

2 lb
ground chuck
i small
chopped onion
1 small
chopped green pepper
2-8 oz
can green chilies
2-16 oz
refried beans
1-16 oz
jar of med salsa or taco sauce
4 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 small
chopped jalapenos

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large microwavable bowl put your ground chuck, onions,green pepper,and jalapenos on high breaking up the meat every so often while it cooks. Usually takes about ten minutes.

When ground chuck is cooked and vegetables are soft, then drain off the grease. Put back in the original bowl.

Add chilies, refried beans,and taco sauce or salsa. Mix well, smooth and even out the top.Add cheddar cheese evenly. I usually add jarred jalapenos on top for garnish. Microwave on high 10 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy
