Ingredients

16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 c chirizo (cooked)
16 oz shredded monterey jack cheese
1 c mayonaisse
4 oz chopped green chilies
1/2 tsp cumin
4-5 jalpeno peppers - seeded and chopped
1/2 c bread crumbs
1/4 c parmesan cheese

Stacey's Notes:

I was looking for some new food to try on Superbowl Sunday. My husband loves jalepeno poppers, so I tried to combine all those flavors.

 

Directions

In a large mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise.

Add cooked and drained chorizo to cream cheese and mayo mixture.

Add chopped chilies with juice, chopped & seeded jalapeƱos, and cumin. Mix to combine.

Add shredded Monterey jack cheese. Mix to combine. Add half the cheese and mix and then add the other half and stir to combine.

Pour mixture into baking dish such as a pie plate or a corning ware dish

Mix bread crumbs and jalapeƱos together in a small bowl.

Top with bread crumb mixture.

Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. You may want to put baking dish on a cookie sheet in case of cheeses bubbling over.

Kathy its also good if you want to leave out the chorizo.

We had company last night and I made this. I used what I had on hand so I left out the chorizo and Parmesan. It still had a really great flavor! I served it with crackers but some people ate it with tortilla chips too. Very tasty!! Thanks for sharing.
