Easy Caramel Sauce

My grandma woul make this and we would have over icecream while it was still warm. Oh the memories:)

Ingredients

1 stick
butter or margarine
1 c
light brown sugar ( i have used the dark also)
1/2 c
heavy cream
1 Tbsp
vanilla

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook together the stick of butter or margarine with 1 cup of brown sugar. Cook on medium to medium low unti sugar is melted.

Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream; bring to a boil. Remove from heat; add vanilla.

Serve over icecream, pound cake, whatever you wish really.

makes 1 1/2 cups. Will keep for one week in a covered container in the refrigator
