drema's spinach dip

Probably an old time fave of many but thought I would share and post anyway. I sometimes forget about different recipes's that I love so this helps me rem some I want to make soon! This is about the only time I can say "I love spinach"! LOL

Ingredients For drema's spinach dip

  • 1 pkg
    hidden valley ranch, dry
  • 2 c
    siour cream
  • 1 pkg
    spinach, frozen, thawed, cooked and drained, chopped & squeezed
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt

How To Make drema's spinach dip

  • 1
    Thaw frozen spinach or drop frozen into sauce pan with about 2 cups boiling water. Blanch or cook for about 10 minutes. Drain liquid.

    In small bowl place cooked spinach. Using hands, squeeze and wring out all remaining juice from the spinach. Place in a large mixing bowl. Chop with hand chopper very fine or you can use food processor.

    Combine all other ingredients stirring or mixing well. Chill minimum of 1 hour before serving. Serving idea: Scoop out most of the middle of a rounded fresh bread. Hawaii Sweet bread is our fave. At serving time scoop all of spinach dip into center of bread. Can serve with more bread pieces or a good cracker.
