This is a salad that I've been eating since I can remember. My mother made this often and I still love it today! She would serve it on white sandwich bread spread with mayonnaise or we would eat on soda crackers. A quick and easy salad. Serve on a lettuce lined roll and garnish with olives or tomatoes Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients For dee dee's tuna salad sandwich

    (5-ounce) cans white water packed tuna, drained
  • 3
    hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1
    rib celery, chopped
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    sweet pickles, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    onion, finely chopped, optional
  • 2 to 3
    heaping spoonfuls hellman's mayonnaise (lite mayo for lighter version)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • bolillo rolls, split or sandwich bread of your choice
  • additional mayonnaise for bread, optional
  • tomatoes for garnish, optional
  • olives or olive mix for garnish, optional

How To Make dee dee's tuna salad sandwich

    Combine first 8 ingredients; mix well.

    Serve on lettuce lined Bilillo rolls that have been spread with mayo or sandwich bread of choice; garnish with tomatoes or olives, if you like.
