Ingredients For taco salad

  • TACO MEAT
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    homemade taco seasoning
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 15 oz
    black beans, canned
  • 1 c
    corn, canned optional
  • SALAD
  • lettuce head
  • onion
  • tomato
  • picante sauce
  • mexican blend shredded cheese
  • sour cream, opitional

How To Make taco salad

    Taco Meat: Brown and drain ground beef. Add the homemade taco seasoning stir to mix. Add water, black beans and corn if using. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

    While the taco meat mixture is simmering, either tear or chop the lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Place in separate bowls for serving.
  • 3
    Place some of the lettuce either in a bowl or on a plate. Top with the remaing ingredients as you like. Top with sour cream and enjoy.
