I used to fix this for Christmas every year. Now, I've passed it on to my daughter to do. HaHa Always a family favorite!

Ingredients For miss jackie's version of ambrosia salad

  • 8 oz
    carton small curd cottage cheese
  • 3 oz
    box jello gelatin (any flavor) i use lime flavor.
  • 20 oz
    can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 md
    container cool whip
  • 5 Tbsp
    lemon juice concentrate
  • 1 c
    maraschino cherries, sliced or halved
  • 1/3 c
    sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 15 oz
    can mandarin oranges, well drained
  • 2 c
    red or green sweet seedless grapes halved
  • 1 1/2 c
    mini marshmallows
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 8 oz
    package cream cheese (softened

How To Make miss jackie's version of ambrosia salad

  • 1
    Combine cottage cheese, sour cream & cream cheese and mix well. Add coconut. lemon juice concentrate, jello gelatin and fruit (pineapple, cherries, oranges & grapes and mix. Fold in Cool Whip and marshallows. Add vanilla and gently mix all ingredients. Cover and chill for 2 hours or longer.
