This was my mother-in-law's recipe. It was a must have menu item for every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

Stove Top

Ingredients

CRANBERRY RELISH

12 oz
cranberries, fresh or frozen, ground
2 medium
oranges, ground
1/2
peel of one orange, ground
2 c
sugar, scant

CRANBERRY SALAD

1 pkg
(3 oz) cherry jello
1 c
boiling water
1 c
cranberry relish (recipe above)
1 c
nuts, ground or chopped finely
1 c
crushed pineapple, not drained

Directions Step-By-Step

Prepare CRANBERRY RELISH by stirring all ingredients together. Refrigerate, at least overnight before use.

CRANBERRY SALAD: Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, add other ingredients. Allow to set.
NOTE: No other additional liquid is needed. It has only the boiling water to dissolve the Jell-O and the liquid from the canned pineapple. This sets to be a firm mixture.
