1boil potatoes till done and let cool, fry cut up bacon till almost brown, set aside,, in small pan, add water, vinegar, sugar, celery seed,bacon, onion
2cook on simmer till onions are done ,, about 20 min.
3set aside till cool,
4peel potatoes and cut in small cubes, chop eggs in small pieces, and add to the potatoes, when vineger solution is cool pour on potatoes and eggs, add the mayo,, if needed taste the vinegar solution first it should be like sweet and sour,, you can add more sugar to taste,, you can eat this warm or cold we eat it both ways,, its great on a picnic also,, instead of the same old potato salad..
