TORNADO SPARING NASTURTIUM SALAD
I'm not sure how to post on Wild Thang, so.... I posted my house that was destroyed by the April 27th tornado. The tree behind the house was full of leaves, it crushed my house. Planted in a garden near the tree was NASTURTIUMS. (this is a winter pictures so the flowers are not blooming.) The Nasturtiums are still in beautiful blossoms, they are eatable and so colorful. They actually taste like lettuce. The lot is empty so you can tell a Wild Thang sure had been there. At the trunk the tree was 15 feet around.
- bag of salad mix
- colorful nasturtium flowers freshly picked
- 1/2 c
- candied walnuts
- sesame crackers and dressing of your choice
1Place the 1/2 bag of colorful lettuce in large, clear salad bowl.
2Wash Nasturtiums and pat dry with paper towel. Carefully pick off colorful petals and sprinkle over lettuce.
3Sprinkle candied walnuts over salad. Chill and serve with sesame crackers.
