1Drain Kraut well. Bring water, vinegar and sugar to a boil for 3-4 minutes; cool
2combine kraut, onions, celery & peppers or pimentos. Pour cold liquid over mixture & let stand for a few hours to ripen. Place in large glass jar. It will keep in the refrigerator for weeks
